The Breast Health Foundation (BHF), is a Not for Profit established in April 2002. It educates the public on breast cancer and breast health, increase awareness and empower women.
The focus is on communicating the importance of self-examination and medical examinations, enabling them to happen, and supporting women through cancer treatment. The aim is to enable women to successfully enter treatment at earlier stages of cancer, and offer support to ensure successful pathway management. The BHF works within the public health system, with a breast health clinic at Helen Joseph Hospital. It also operates a mobile breast cancer awareness service. It communicates through Buddies for Life, Bosom Buddies, Pink Peddlars amongst other initiatives.
